My brave brothers. This is my story a sister to five brothers four of them in the Active Military.

I have been struggling like everyone else with the emotion that goes with your loved ones being far from you and fighting for our country. With all the doom and gloom on the news I decided that’s it! I’m going to take all of my emotions and put them to good use, and I asked myself what can I do to make patriotism for our military Loud and Proud across the Nation? Well, I remembered as a little girl tying the yellow ribbon around my family’s tree in our front yard for our troops in the Persian Gulf War. That moment has stuck in my mind for years. I now have a very proud 7-year-old son who hasn’t ever seen such a display of patriotism on trees, doors and light poles and so on. So I asked my little guy how would you feel about tying yellow ribbons around our trees for each of your uncles and for all of the military that keep us and have kept us safe? He said, mommy I didn’t know that’s what the yellow ribbons where for. At that time I knew this is what was needed to be done for my brothers, for my son and for our military heroes.

My story doesn't end here but for now until the Nation puts up Yellow Ribbons and tells their stories, only then will I have a new story to share.
